Meadowbrook Health Centre – now open!
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the brand-new Meadowbrook Health Centre, a major investment in our local healthcare system that is already delivering for our community.
This $33.4 million facility, fully funded by the Albanese Labor Government and operated by Queensland Health, is a game-changer for Logan families. It’s located right in the heart of our growing health precinct on Nestor Drive in Meadowbrook, just across from Logan Hospital – making it easy and convenient to access.
The Centre includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, which means that if you or your family need treatment for things like sprains, strains, fractures, infections, cuts, fevers, or earaches – you can simply walk in and be seen without needing to go to the Emergency Department.
This will take real pressure off Logan Hospital, helping reduce wait times for emergency care, and giving people a faster, more appropriate option for non-life-threatening issues.
The new Centre is modern, welcoming and thoughtfully designed, with a strong focus on delivering the best care in a calm and supportive environment. Staff told me they’ve already seen a positive response from patients and families, and it’s only just opened.
This is exactly the kind of smart investment in public health that Labor is proud to deliver – planning for the future, easing pressure on frontline services, and bringing care closer to home.
If you or someone you know needs non-urgent care, I encourage you to visit the Meadowbrook Health Centre and experience this fantastic new facility for yourself.
This is Labor delivering on its promise to invest in better services – right where they’re needed most.
